Have you got a story to share?

Most of us have stories to tell.  Perhaps someone close to you has been through a testing illness, or you've been the victim of some kind of crime.  Or you may have a positive and inspiring story to tell about how you achieved a goal, such as losing weight, or found love.

If you do have a story, you could earn a fee, and also promote a good cause or business by sharing it with a magazine or newspaper.

Why share your story?

You will be paid a fee for giving exclusive rights to your story. You are not charged any money.

Also, reading a story about someone who has survived a difficult ordeal can be tremendously reassuring and inspiring.   By sharing your story, you might just give someone the nudge they need to go to the doctors to report that lump, or the courage they need to call the domestic abuse helpline.

If you run a business or help a charity, you can also gain valuable publicity, reaching hundreds of thousands of readers for free, when advertising to that audience would cost thousands of pounds.

Why go through The StoryCellar?

It's free.

We'll pitch your story for nothing, and we will get you a better fee than if you go to the magazines directly.

Pure economics means that if more than one magazine wants your story, others are likely to increase your fee to secure it.
Because we have worked as commissioning editors buying these stories ourselves, we are able to pitch your story and sell it in the best possible way so that more magazines are interested in publishing it

You get the benefit of our contacts and expertise in wording the story the right way for nothing because, if we sell it, the magazines and newspapers will pay us a writing fee. You don't have anything to lose.

What's the catch?

There isn't one.  If you do decide to share your story with a magazine or newspaper, you will simply be asked to sign an agreement stating that you won't share the same story with another publication until after the article has been published.

You may also need to supply or pose for photographs.
